Main mission

The experienced Governance and Compliance consultants will assist our clients in complying with Luxembourg regulatory obligations and in implementing various compliance frameworks. The main target clientele is Professionals of the Financial Sector (support PFS, specialised PFS, investments firms, credit Institutions amongst others), Payment Institutions/Electronic Money Institutions and Management Companies.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide valuable knowledge and expertise as well as adequate solutions to our clients in terms of the applicable regulatory obligations;
  • Support clients’ compliance functions on regulatory and legal matters through ongoing compliance follow-up;
  • Assist clients in implementing and monitoring the compliance planning;
  • Implement and undertake review of policies, procedures, process as defined in the Compliance Planning of respective clients for examples AML/CFT Policy and Procedures, Customer Complaint Policy and Procedures, Outsourcing Policy, Remuneration Policy, Governance Processes, Business Processes, Support Processes amongst others;
  • To prepare/review reports such as Internal Control Report, AML Summary Report, Customer Complaint Report amongst others;
    Prepare, review and/or remediate clients’ KYC files as per agreed timeline and undertake compliance verification and screening as per applicable AML/CFT framework requirements;
  • To participate in the Steering Committees and prepare respective report;
  • Assist clients in the implementation of corrective measures regarding auditors recommendation;
  • Prepare CSSF licence application files for all types of regulated entities;
  • Assist clients in implementing new regulations as per applicable CSSF authorised statute(s);
  • Ensure proper monitoring of regulatory watch missions;
  • Monitor new laws and regulations and provide impact assessments of any changes when required;
  • Provide training and workshops as per clients’ specificities ;
  • Contribute to the development of client services as well as in the creation of business opportunities, assists in the preparation of service proposal and request for proposal.

 

Further career growth

  • Possibility of taking mandates for the role of “Responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations” (RC) and execute the duties and responsibilities within the scope of the law and regulation.


Main requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in Governance and Compliance in Luxembourg;
  • Master’s degree in law, Finance or recognised industry related qualification;
  • Knowledge of the Luxembourg legal and regulatory frameworks;
  • Accounting knowledge, including LuxGAAP;
  • In depth knowledge of AML/CFT regulatory requirements applicable to PFS;
  • Knowledge of internal governance regulatory requirements of various PFS structures;
  • Strong knowledge understanding of local and international AML/CFT regulatory requirements and framework as well as local market practice;
  • Experience in writing and updating of policies, procedures and processes. Experience in CSSF application file is considered an asset;
  • Good written and oral communication in English and French, any other language is considered an asset;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Strong analytical and organisational (management of priorities and deadlines) skills;
  • Good project management skills
  • Team player, rigorous and autonomous;
  • Results-oriented, meticulous with a keen eye for details and a problem-solving attitude.
