DESCRIPTION

The Central Europe Supply Chain team is looking for a motivated, experienced and talented Supply Chain Analyst. You will contribute to build the future of Amazon in France, Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany by analyzing and solving the increasingly complex Supply Chain optimization problems faced by the Region. Interfacing with South EU Operations and Retail / Fulfilled by Amazon teams, you will be in charge of improving customer experience and inventory management in a growing environment.

The successful candidates will be a data detective with strong analysis skills, prioritize well, communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivery.

You must have the experience and capability to create and present documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon’s strategic objectives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be experienced in working with data to analyze root causes, implementing long-term solutions and solving supply chain problems through advanced analytical capabilities.

 

Key job responsibilities

  • Plan the daily forecast for the Nonsort FC network. Monitor performance vs forecast and steer the network on a daily basis concerning operational issues with our fulfillment centers, sort centres and transport teams.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team in areas including Sales and Operations Planning, Placement and Transportation to align and execute the strategy at FC and country level.
  • Develop deep understanding / technical proficiency on all Supply Chain tools.
  • Lead complex analysis, develop models and reports to drive key strategic decisions and support implementation on Operations topics across the region.
  • Proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources, probes/considers all of the facts, takes into account other perspectives. Conducts root cause analysis and deep dives metrics to improve them.
  • Standardize methodologies and findings, develop tools to support the increasing complexity EU Supply Chain.
  • Prioritize projects and feature requests, evaluate and set stakeholder expectations.
  • Partner with Operations (Supply Chain, Transportation, FC) and coordinate initiatives with EU counterparts. Lead regional projects and support implementation on Supply Chain topics that improve the performance and the execution of FC performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication processes to ensure smooth and efficient flow of accurate information across Amazon teams. Providing visibility on actions and reasonings to earn trust from stakeholders. Remaining impartial to focus on the bigger picture without bias.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed Bachelor’s, preferably Master's Degree from an accredited university
  • Relevant professional experience in planning, forecasting and/or Supply Chain
  • Track record on data analysis with ability to to draw conclusions from complex data
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, communicating, and negotiating skills coupled with ability to confidently present to all levels within the enterprise is required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a similar role / relevant work experience will help you to get started faster but is not a requirement
  • Knowledge of SQL / R / any data analytics tool is a plus
