*This is a Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract until end of 2024. The role can be based in Luxembourg, Munich or London.*

Amazon Transportation Services Europe (ATS EU) is a high-powered creative team which is shaping the transportation planning and execution within the Middle Mile operations network. This team develops and applies innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the transportation network and bring the best customer experience through reliability and cost efficiencies.

The EU ATS Network Operations (NetOps) team is looking for Sr Program Manager, Transportation Capacity Management. In this role, you will be part of the central EU ATS Network Operations team with close interaction to our ATS Supply Chain teams, Sort Center, Freight and tech departments around the world. As Sr Program Manager, you will lead a variety of large-scale initiatives to innovate our transportation capacity and execution processes. You will work on highly ambiguous and complex problems to deliver actionable results and collaborate with other teams to maximize impact. You will work towards scoping and defining the relevant business insights and opportunities aiming to automate several different use-cases long term. You will need to leverage large datasets and analytical researches to influence teams' understanding. The role is inherently cross-functional and the responsibilities include working across organizations and engaging with other Program Managers, Senior Leadership from Sort Centers.

 

Key job responsibilities

  • Member of Amazon’s Network Excellence ATS Operations team in Europe
  • Support transformational network change with analytical function (SQL; Python required)
  • Interface between cross-functional European departments such as Sort Center, Supply Chain Execution, Transportation Operations; Customer Service, Technology; Finance
  • Partner with central teams to further improve and automate our operational processes
  • Plan, control and monitor key performance indicators like the actual Fulfillment Quality; Customer Experience and volume flows
  • Identify process defects and drive medium sized projects to improve Delivery Speed, Quality and/or operational costs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong communication processes and ensure a high quality bar across the different countries / processes / stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • Proven analytical skills with ability for creative problem solving by applying technical solutions (Excel, SQL; Python must have)
  • English communication skills, both verbally and written

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master degree / diploma in Supply Chain, Science or Engineering is preferred
  • Cross-functional international project management capability. Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
  • Proven ability to influence others without having positional authority
  • Second language skills in German, Italian, Spanish and/or French
  • Technical Expertise (IT, ERP systems, WMS, Database solutions) with solution-driven approach to systems & processes
