Luxembourg is the European Headquarters for John Deere Financial. The primary activity is providing financial services to customers and dealers who want to finance John Deere equipment.

 

For our Luxembourg location we are looking for a:

Senior Software Engineer

As part of our Customer Management & Core Finance/Accounting product team, you will ensure accuracy in our contract management platform and work on modernizing our technology stack, creating internal efficiency gains, as well as supporting future business growth opportunities. 

Your major duties will be to: 

  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager and Software Engineers to develop and expand a strong set of API led capabilities that will create new business opportunities
  • Support and maintain our contract management platforms
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
  • Support your colleagues and team members, working collaboratively and sharing knowledge in pair-programming and coding review sessions

Skills we are looking for:

  • 4+ Years of proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of complex software solutions leveraging change management processes. 
  • Proficiency in one modern programming language (preferably Typescript and/or Java)
  • Understanding of design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
  • Working Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS, S3 etc.
  • Experience leveraging DevOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment using tools like Git, Jenkins, Terraform etc.
  • Experience with software test automation (TDD and Testing Frameworks: Jest, JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress)
  • Knowledge of Containerization Technology
  • Experience working in an agile team environment
  • Fluency in English is essential (both spoken and written)
  • Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
