About the Department of Precision Health


At the DoPH, we implement interdisciplinary approaches at the convergence of precision medicine, prevention, and public health. We combine established and new methods with novel digital technologies for epidemiological and public health research. By translating our results into clinical practice and supporting public health bodies, we aim to tackle the major causes of morbidity and mortality, improve quality of life, and deliver scientific evidence for personalized disease prevention and intervention.

We are looking for a motivated and organized Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will mainly be responsible for planning and managing our efforts to create a spinoff company based on voice processing and vocal biomarker technology developed by our team. In this project, we will conduct intensive market research, develop the minimum viable product, and establish business and revenue plans. The role includes coordinating the efforts of LIH members and third-party collaborators and partners to deliver the project according to plan. In addition, the project manager will also support additional projects of the department in an administrative and scientific capacity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Organize and coordinate administrative tasks in the research department
  • Assist in the writing and establishment of consortium project applications
  • Assist in project management, coordination, and administrative follow-up of projects
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets and monitor the progress of the project with respect to those. Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables regularly
  • Identify project requirements, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Interact with national and international partners (e.g.customer interviews, investor meetings, scientific collaborators).
  • Allocate and monitor resources efficiently to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain scientific communication activities (e.g. websites, presentations, posters, press, and general public).

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Master or equivalent in a relevant scientific or medical discipline, business administration, entrepreneurship, or a related field,
  • Proven experience in grant writing and project management,
  • Good knowledge of project financial and administrative management,
  • Process-oriented with excellent planning and organizational skills,
  • Strong oral and written communication skills,
  • Good negotiation and diplomatic skills to push projects effectively,
  • Ability to work in a multinational environment and interact positively with team members and stakeholders,
  • Knowledge of the operating rules and administrative procedures of a public research organization,
  • Flexibility, adaptability, autonomy, target and detail-oriented,
  • Language skills: fluent command of English and French written and oral (a third language would be a plus).
