Role Context:
The Director of Accounting and Financial Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of financial management, accounting, financial reporting treasury management. The Luxembourg office exists In the context of the oversight and control of a vast portfolio of RE assets on a pan-European basis. The role will report locally to an MD and functionally to the GFD.

Accounting and Financial Reporting
• Leading the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (consolidated), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements (Lux GAAP / IFRS).
• Coordinating and supervising financial statement audits, liaising with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.

Tax Compliance
• Managing corporate tax compliance, including the filing of annual tax returns (in cooprstion with tax advisors).
• Preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments and ensuring timely submission.
• Ensuring compliance with state corporate regulatory requirements.

Treasury Management
• Coordinating investment activities and optimising cash management strategies.
• Generating monthly reports on cash flow and liquidity positions.
• Overseeing banking compliance and ensuring adherence to banking regulations.
• Reviewing and approving payments to vendors and stakeholders.

General Operations
• Managing day-to-day administrative operations and closely supervising accounting functions.
• Overseeing procurement processes to optimise cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Supervising the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
• Managing tenant invoicing and accounts receivable processes.
• Overseeing the fixed asset acquisition process, including asset tracking and depreciation.
• Oversight of insurance management

General Office Leadership
• Provide direction and leadership to the general office population. 
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Luxembourg office ensuring a productive and efficient work environment.
• Implement and enforce office policies and procedures to promote organisation, safety, and compliance with regulations.


Role Requirements:
• An excellent educational background likely at Masters level in a finance related field or similar.
• Fluency in Spanish and English are both essential. Knowledge of French is preferred.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the core areas defined in this job description, preferably within a RE context and either having been, or currently engaged at a big 4.
• Availability to travel to countries to the location of assets and headquarters – Europe. 
• Proficiency in SAP and Qlikview preferred.
