Reporting to the Head of IT, the Head of IT Continuous Improvement owns the strategic plan for the sustainability of key enterprise systems and technology. He/she is responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department, focusing on enhancing processes, systems and technologies to optimize performance, efficiency and effectiveness. The Head of IT Continuous Improvement is a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of implementing successful improvement initiatives in a complex IT environment. He/she also leads the support team dedicated to our external platform for partners and clients: Connect.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Lead the IT Continuous Improvement personnel and develop their skills and capabilities to meet the need of the organization;
  • Work closely with the Head of IT and other IT leaders to develop the overall IT application management and maintenance strategy including development and enhancement of methodologies and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement;
  • Create a clear strategy of how to manage the backlog of corrective and evolutive maintenance tickets, and involve the relevant stakeholders in that process;
  • Review and analyse existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving and upgrading;
  • Ensure that all changes to the live environment, whether, hardware, operating system, configuration, or software in nature, are appropriately controlled and delivered effectively in a manner that meets stakeholder requirements and avoids business disruption;
  • Liaise and collaborate with all the areas of IT to establish, maintain and communicate a technology change/release plan;
  • Work with IT leadership to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments. Conduct release readiness reviews and milestone reviews;
  • Secure clear possession of problem identification, its analysis, impact analysis and solutions;
  • Supervise everyday requests for matters related to business enablement and resolve issues disrupting business processes;
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of continuous improvement efforts, providing regular reports and analysis to stakeholders;
  • Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement within the IT department, encouraging innovation, collaboration and a commitment to excellence among team members;
  • Lead the support team for Connect, our external platform for partners and clients.

 

 

Your profile – Have you got what it takes to become our Head of IT Continuous Improvement?

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Strong team leadership experience in an operational/challenging work environment or with technical teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptable to new & changing landscapes
  • Ability to liaise and positively influence all levels of management and work with other departments
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely across multiple internal & external parties to accomplish tasks and projects
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects while still delivering timely and accurate results
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing positively to shared goals and success
  • Pragmatic spirit and motivation for teamwork
  • Knowledge of various planning, management, and workflow techniques (e.g., Kanban, Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation skills and ability to present confidently and to engage and manage stakeholders, developing effective relationships at all levels
  • Confidence in communicating adeptly with both technical and non-technical teams, fostering clear understanding and collaboration
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
